Trekking challenge 2021

See below for a quick insight into some members from our past trekking challenge events and why they chose to get involved.

The #AGS Cumbria challenge is our annual guided winter mountaineering training. This enables our beneficiaries and supporters to choose one of several routes in the Lake district guided by our AGS mountain guides. It's a great challenge and we often use this to prepare some of our teams training for our overseas challenges.

The AGS trekking challenge

This event is a guided hill walking experience lead by mountain leaders in the Lake District. It’s aim is to enable members of the AGS community to come together and provide opportunities for new members to experience the mountains in a supportive environment and meet returning members.

For some of the AGS foundation beneficiaries, this is the first time they’ve ever been on a mountain. We have a range of different routes and distances for both supporters and beneficiaries to choose from and everyone stays together at the end of the treks in Grasmere.
