The AGS project aims to raise awareness and funds for 3 charities.

BLESMA

Support our Paras

Our charities have been selected for the positive and impactful support that they provide to members of the disabled community, including wounded service people throughout their recovery, their rehabilitation process and their integration into the workplace. The AGS team take great pride in representing those who have made and continue to make such a difference in the lives of those injured in the line of duty.

MEDIA

Attempted and completed stages of the AGS have generated substantial media coverage. As the expeditions continue, interest in our teams, cause and stories grows. To maintain positive messages in the media, we will maximise exposure for future endeavours through events, press releases and a potential multi episode televised documentary. Our primary objective is to work with media partners who wish to promote the positive character traits of our community when faced with significant adversity.

AWARENESS

As we develop as a truly groundbreaking team of explorers, we aim to share our experiences and inspire others to overcome adversity. Our team members are ambassadors for the disabled and ex-services communities. Through each of our individual stories and journey together, we can raise awareness for these communities and inspire others with psychological and physical damage. We aim to raise awareness for the challenges that our wounded service people face and for the charities that are prominent in their recovery.

Olympian Homes

From Mark Slatter, Founder and Chairman of Olympian Homes and Trustee of the AGS Foundation.

Olympian Homes was formed 26 years ago and has a history of mixed use development including speculative residential, retail, hotel, student accommodation and built to rent residential accommodation. It has developed successful partnerships with a number of blue chip partners including Marks and Spencer, Balfour Beatty, Travelodge, Brookfield and now the Goldman Sachs and Welcome Trust owned IQ Students.
The ethos at Olympian is threefold, to make money, to enjoy our work and to put something back.
The Adaptive Grand Slam Foundation, founded and inspired by Martin Hewitt is providing a road to physical and mental recovery for numerous ex military and non military alike through the vehicle of extreme training and challenges and we are very proud to support it and help ‘put back’.
I met Martin on an Everest expedition in 2012 and was astounded by his unbounded positive outlook, his energy, stoicism and drive to better both his own circumstances and those of others.
The AGS Foundation has the potential to change a great many more lives for the good. By participation, donation or support with your time, be a part of this journey.

Blesma

Blesma and the AGS share the objective of getting people with disabilities back into physical activity, challenging themselves to achieve something that they perhaps didn’t think was possible. We are proud to support our Members in this quest and to support the AGS in their development of injured veterans as adventurers and leaders.
